Writer & Producer - Jennifer Kim
Jennifer Kim is a writer and former teacher who grew up in Calcutta, Ohio, and then moved west to earn her MFA in screenwriting from UCLA film school. She is the daughter of disco-loving immigrants from North and South Korea who settled in Appalachia – where she and her sister were the only Asians in school. Jennifer has contributed to USA Today, Los Angeles Times, NPR, KCET (PBS), East West, KoreAm Journal, several literary anthologies, and as a radio storyteller on KCRW. Recognized as one of ISA's Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2024, she is also a ViacomCBS Writers Program Finalist, ISA Grand Prize Winner, and Hopwood Award Winner, among other honors. Jennifer is repped by IAG, Industry Entertainment, and Amplified, who are packaging a biopic she wrote.
